Amala, our pride – an inspiration

School re-opening, Spirulina, and Mathur
Schools have re-opened and at Sharana we have re-started our material distribution activities (part of the sponsorship program). For more than a year now, KelOptic–a company specializing in online sales of optical lenses, founded by 2 business school graduates, Quentin and Charles who know Sharana well–has been offering free glasses for disadvantaged children. For every purchase over 50 € made via the KelOptic website, the company sends a new frame to Sharana.

Meeting on Higher Education
Twenty students met with Vetri, John Peter, Ravi Anand (all Sharana social workers) and Mrs. Vijayalakshmi (a volunteer) at Sharana’s office on March 16 for nearly three hours, in order to discuss prospects for higher education.
