Sharana has always prided itself in working in the field with the communities we support, however, the need of the hour demands a change in tactic.
To disrupt the contagion we have taken a short pause from the field and are now tackling the Pandemic from the safe and sanitized environment of our centre; this is to keep both our team as well as the communities safer.
With the present situation of Covid 19, we have restricted our, strictly monitored, interaction with the community to daily food distribution. All other work is being conducted remotely.
In these uncertain times, staying cautious and distant is staying safe.
Today we’ve begun a massive telephonic awareness campaign. During this drive our team of social workers is calling up families we support, one by one, checking on their health and creating awareness on hygiene, safety, and best practices.
On our first run, we made over 60 calls today and we will reach out to over 500 families over the next 2 weeks.
Let’s stay safe and fight Covid 19 together.
