Mr Laurent Meiers from Fondation Majany, with his friend Mr Laurent Bache continued their visits to the programs of Sharana supported by the Fondation.
The day began with a visit to Aranganur where they met with Mani, the master-carpenter as well as the 5 students of Carpentry. They were able to try out several pieces of furniture as well!
Then they went on to visit Angalakuppam where they met with the 10 women in the village who had received loans as part of the Women Social Entrepreneurship program of Sharana.
This group visit was followed by individual visits to the business sites of these women- in most cases their homes as most women had taken these loans to buy cows and goats.
The afternoon entailed a group meeting with the 15 women from various programs of Sharana who had received loans as part of the Women Social Entrepreneurship programs. Mr Laurent had already visited several of these women at their business sites yesterday.
The evening ended with a meeting with the founder as well as the CFO of the organization at the main office.
