Meet Elena Ursino and Sergio Macciò from Italy.
This young couple came for a few weeks to Sharana through Mission Bambini- one of our funding organisations. As part of their work they took time to visit and understand our programs and activities by working closely with the social workers.
They were also pleased to participate in many activities of our annual summer camp during their time in Pondicherry. While Elena proposed specific art and craft activities to the social workers for the children, Sergio also took time to work with some of the staff on simple techniques to take good photos and on proposing a folder structure for storing Sharana’s photographs.
While this experience was heart-warming and eye-opening for them both, it is always a pleasure for us at Sharana to have volunteers come into Sharana through Mission Bambini.
