About Sharana
Sharana’s foundational belief is that all human beings are equal in rights and dignity, and everyone is entitled to food, clothing, and shelter.

Sharana is an organisation driven and inspired by intervention and change that are vital ground work for meaningful development. In the Rural Programmes our focus is to create environments, spaces and infrastructure that cater to basics such as a creche and a dispensary so that families, and especially the women can focus on empowerment via employment.

A direct impact is that we enable families to send their children to school. In the urban slums our focus is safety, nutrition and hygiene for children who otherwise on the streets are exposed to grave potential of all forms of exploitation. All children touched by Sharana fall therefore under the wider and vital exercise of either preparing for or going back to school.
